  • Union members PS 139 in Brooklyn wore “Red for Ed” today and refused to enter their building in the morning
  • UFT members at Urban Assembly Makers Academy issued a public letter to the Mayor, Chancellor, and UFT President demanding greater safety protocols and picketed outside Murry Bergtraum High School
  • City-As-School members wore Red for Ed
  • UFT members continued their week-long picket outside Grace Dodge HS campus in the Bronx
  • New Utrecht HS staff filed Public Employees Safety and Health complaints because of broken vent dampers and lack of MERV-13 filters, and members wore Red for Ed
  • UFT members in schools throughout District 20 are coordinating actions such as wearing Red for Ed and gathering signatures on their petition to enable teachers to work from home this week and to improve testing in their community.
  • MORE members in District 15 are planning a district-wide day of action for Wednesday and a rally in Sunset Park, Brooklyn after school that day.
  • MORE has confirmed that teachers in 28 schools have tested positive for COVID-19 after working at least one day in their buildings.
