  • UFT members at the Neighborhood School in Manhattan will stage a protest today over unsafe conditions.
  • UFT members at the Taft campus will work outside today
  • UFT members at International High School for Health Sciences visited with teachers at Newtown campus to discuss ventilation problems
  • UFT members at the High School for Innovation in Advertising and Media at the Canarsie Educational Complex conducted a day of action including emails to political leaders, phone banking, emails to parents, and social media posts
  • The following actions took place on Monday as part of a city-wide day of action but were reported after we went to press yesterday:
  • Staff at Leon M. Goldstein High School in Brooklyn staged a lunch-time protest.
  • Union members at The Earth School in Manhattan protested outside their school
  • UFT members wore Red for Ed and did a lunchtime phone zap
  • UFT members at Young Women’s Leadership School staged a lunchtime walkout
  • UFT members at PS 24K protested outside their school
  • UFT members at Edward A Reynolds West Side High School held an in person and remote protest to support those schools with COVID-19 positive cases
  • Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists conducted a day of action including a protest outside PS 372K
  • Charter school staff issued a statement in solidarity with teachers protesting for safety
  • UFT members at the Community Action School wore Red for Ed and did a phone zap to protest unsafe conditions
  • UFT members at Eleanor Roosevelt High School wore Red for Ed and did a phone zap
  • UFT members at International High School in district 17 wore Red for Ed and conducted a virtual protest
  • UFT members at The Clinton School in district 2 wore Red for Ed and took a group photo with picket signs
  • MORE members in District 15 are preparing a district day of action culminating in a protest in Sunset Park at 4:00 PM
  • MORE members will lead a protest at Union Square after school on Wednesday
