UFT members took their protest to Union Square after school on Wednesday
Red for Ed day Wednesday at Liberty High School
  • UFT members at CS 163 in the Bronx will hold a lunch time rally today.
  • UFT members at the High School of World Cultures walked out of their building and worked outside Wednesday.
  • UFT members at West Side High School picketed outside this morning for better and safer schools.
  • UFT members at Liberty High School wore Red for Ed Wednesday.
  • UFT members at PS 149 in Queens picketed before school today and will hold a rally at 3:00 PM and will do the same on Friday.
  • UFT members at the Taft campus are continuing to work outside.
  • UFT members at PS 139 in Brooklyn are preparing to picket tomorrow.
  • UFT members at the Young Women’s Leadership School are preparing a lunch time walk-out Friday.
  • UFT members at Leon M. Goldstein High School in Brooklyn are meeting with parents to make them aware of safety problems in the school and are planning actions to protest the lack of electrostatic sprayers.
  • There will be a “march for our schools and our lives” today in lower Manhattan. The march will begin at 3:00 PM at 7th Street and Avenue B and will meet at 3:30 at PS 20 on Essex and Houston.
  • There will be a rally at 1 Fordham Plaza in the Bronx Friday at 3:30.
  • MORE members around the city are circulating the petition for a fully remote school opening.
  • At press time the Mayor had just announced a partial retreat, agreeing to delay the face-to-face reopening of most schools for at least one week.
